What is the CJ2K Premier Basketball League?

The CJ2K Premier Basketball League is a sixth-year high school basketball league located in Pittsburgh, PA. In 2020 during the pandemic, Joe Kirschner and Scott Alaksin teamed up to create a safe but competitive environment for high school-aged players to continue to play during the shutdown. This hosted around 100 athletes and 10 teams.  In 2024, the league was proud to host 14 boys teams and 8 girls teams, totaling around 440 athletes.  We have been pleased to grow something so special!

 

Beginning on Memorial Day and ending the first week of July, this month long Summer League headlines the top talent of the WPIAL and surrounding districts out on the playground! With a draft-style format, our league is designed to give an opportunity for players to meet and play with new people while providing an exciting platform for players to display their game. We take pride in creating a community-driven environment that fosters talent and sportsmanship, aiming to make the experience one of the most unique that these players have ever seen!
